Season 3

The Sopranos season 3 was premiered on 3-4-2001 with the opening episode ‘Mr. Ruggerio’s Neighborhood’. As seen in the previous two seasons, life is not so easy for the mobster Tony Soprano who takes over as the boss of a very great criminal organization. Season three brings another stressful events and mysteries which make Tony Soprano’s life just nothing less than hell. So, we can say that the post of the head of the Northern New Jersey branch of the DiMeo crime family is not a bed of roses for him during the season third. Ralph Cifaretto returns after a very long absence and Tony arranges him to take over the illicit business operations. Another new arrival this season is- Richie’s nephew Jackie Aprile Jr. He wants to leave a clean life away from his uncle’s influence and becomes involved with Tony’s daughter Meadow. Tony’s protégé Christopher has been fully embraced by the Family, despite his ongoing war of wills with veteran capo Paulie Walnuts. During the third season, Livia makes a final appearance through the magic of CGI in order to make Tony’s life more miserable than he ever expected or thought. Season finale ‘The Army Of One’ was aired on 5-20-2001.
